The CBIS department offers many different path ways to accomplish your education goals.

Career Certificate Programs:

These are 18 unit or more program certificates that are approved by the state and can be combined with meeting the General Education requirements for a AA/AS degree to obtain a two year degree from Long Beach City College.

Certificates of Completion:

These are short sequences of classes to complete a skill set that is desired by industry.

Transfer Paths:

Transfer paths are classes that articulate to specific four year Universities in the CSU and UC system. These are the most effiecient way to complete the minimum number of courses to transfer to a four year school. 

Vocational Course:

Taking one course in a vocational skill may be exactly what you need to advance on your job or obtain a better job.

Computer Informational Compentency:

 COMIS 1 and CBIS 6A both are designed to meet the AA degree required technical component of Informational Compentency requirement here at LBCC.
